Kids Tennis Clothes Guide

Whether your child is picking up a racket for the first time or is playing junior performance international tennis, it is paramount that they are comfortable.  They need to be relaxed and focussed on the coach, not fussing over itchy fabrics or feeling too hot or cold.

Comfort and Practicality

Here at Zoe Alexander we design and manufacture our kids tennis clothes range with comfort and practicality in mind.  We use a high quality breathable cotton with 5% elastane for the body to give some stretch during play, avoiding any constriction on movement.  Our performance stretch polyester is used predominantly in our leggings, base layer leggings and skirts where maximum flexibility during play is necessary and where bright colours and prints are used in our designs. 

Recreational Beginners and Intermediates

We recommend that beginners and intermediates start by wearing separates. Boys are easy to manage as the boys tennis outfits comprise simply of a tee shirt and shorts.  On colder days or cool evenings they can add a sweatshirt or long sleeve training top to maintain arm and trunk warmth and a pair of joggers. All our T-shirts are cotton/elastane 95/5 allowing the body temperature to maintain a steady temperature unlike sticky synthetics that rapidly warm up the body then causes sweating with rapid cooling which is not good for athletes.

For girls, we offer tank top singlet vests or T-shirts and long sleeve tops that can be paired up with shorts, cropped leggings, long leggings or skirts to suit the individual.
